  1. What is the treaty of Waitangi? It was a treaty that was signed by representatives
of the British Crown and Maori chiefs from the North Island of New Zealand. But to me
it means, a treaty that was signed unfairly to take over New Zealand.


  1. Who signed the treaty of Waitangi? When and where? The british and chiefs
signed the treaty when it was 1840, at the Bay Of Islands.


  1. What were the promises of the treaty for the Maori people? They were promised
that the maoris could still take over New Zealand but have the choice to sell their land
to the British if they wanted to. They were also promised that they would be protected. 


  1. What happened after the treaty was signed? Lieutenant-Governor William Hobson
took over New Zealand and British soon ruled New Zealand. 

  1. What are the key principles of the Treaty of Waitangi? Protection, Participation
and Partnership.
